William J. Focazio, MD, is a highly-respected physician in Northern New Jersey who specializes in Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Gastroenterology. He is a graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine. Later he continued his post-doctoral training at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine and continued on to complete a fellowship in Infectious Disease.
He subsequently completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Dr. Focazio is also a recipient of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award “Recommended by a grateful patient for skill, sensitivity, caring and compassion in the practice of medicine.” He is the Founder and CEO of the Endo Surgical Center of North Jersey, located in Clifton, NJ. Dr. Focazio is also the Founder and CEO of P.A.S.T. Retired Athletes Medical Group, recently featured on HBO Real Sports and in Sports Illustrated.
His generosity and mission to provide a comprehensive, fully integrated medical and behavioral health care program to retired athletes has resulted in significant improvement in the quality of life for hundreds of retired players. Players travel to New Jersey from all over the United States to be treated by Focazio and his team. Former athletes such as Ray Lucas (NFL, NY Jets), Christian Okoye (NFL, KC Chiefs), and Dave Robinson (NFL, Green Bay Packers) say Focazio and his New Jersey-based P.A.S.T. Medical team saved their lives.
Recently, Dr. Focazio developed a cutting-edge concussion program that is being used to treat retired NFL players as well as college and high school athletes. A concussion education program featuring former NFL players will soon be made available to New Jersey High Schools
